National Cybersecurity Awareness Month

Play the Second Annual Cyber Bowl

The Cyber Bowl is back and the Wolfpack is looking for redemption! NC State will celebrate the 2025 National Cybersecurity Awareness Month by competing with seven North Carolina universities to see who is the most cyber smart.

From Oct. 1-31, students, faculty and staff will complete a short quiz about cybersecurity to earn points for their school. The school with the highest percentage of participation based on population will be named the Cyber Bowl champion.

Cyber Bowl logo that says

Last year’s inaugural competition drew 5,300 participants from NC State, Duke University and UNC-Chapel Hill, who ultimately took home the title. More schools have joined the field this year — UNC Wilmington, North Carolina A&T, East Carolina University, Winston-Salem State University and Elizabeth City State University.

The Cyber Bowl promotes cybersecurity awareness by engaging our communities through competition. And just like the Cyber Bowl, cybersecurity is a team sport. Each of us has an important role to play in securing our devices and data from cyberattacks.
